## English AI-Writing Patterns

The following rules extend the base humanize.md rewrite rules for **English-language** text. Apply these in addition to (not instead of) the 8 base rules.

### High-Frequency AI Vocabulary (delete or replace)
Additionally, furthermore, it's important to note, it's worth mentioning, in conclusion, arguably, one could say, delve, landscape (abstract), tapestry (abstract), testament, pivotal, crucial, vibrant, showcasing, fostering, garner, interplay, intricate, nestled, groundbreaking, game-changing, revolutionize, paradigm shift, cutting-edge, seamless, innovative, next-generation

### Copula Avoidance
AI avoids "is/are/has" and substitutes elaborate constructions:
- "serves as" → "is"
- "stands as" → "is"
- "boasts" / "features" / "offers" → "has"
- "represents a shift" → "changes"

### Sentence-Level Patterns
- **Negative parallelism abuse**: "It's not just X; it's Y" / "Not only...but also..." — rewrite as direct statement
- **Rule of Three**: "innovation, inspiration, and insights" — keep 2 or merge into prose
- **False ranges**: "from X to Y" where X and Y aren't on a meaningful scale — state the actual scope
- **Em dash overuse**: AI uses — more than humans. Replace most with commas, parentheses, or periods
- **Curly quotes**: ChatGPT outputs "curly" instead of "straight" — normalize to straight quotes

### Content Inflation
- **Significance puffery**: "marking a pivotal moment" / "setting the stage for" / "a testament to" — delete, state the fact
- **Notability claims**: "widely covered by media" / "active social media presence" — cite one specific source or delete
- **Promotional language**: boasts, vibrant, rich (figurative), profound, breathtaking, must-visit, stunning, renowned — replace with concrete detail
- **Weasel attribution**: "Industry reports suggest" / "Experts argue" / "Some critics say" — name the source or downgrade

### Filler & Hedging
- Delete: "In order to" → "To". "Due to the fact that" → "Because". "At this point in time" → "Now". "It is important to note that" → just state it.
- Hedging stacks ("could potentially possibly") → one qualifier max
- "In conclusion" → just end. "Furthermore" → "Also" or nothing.
