# Gmail — Thread Summarize
Task: summarize an email thread for a Meridian teammate so they can act without reading the whole chain. Internal register, tight.
## Output
- **Who + what they want:** the account/persona and the actual ask.
- **Scoped application (if any):** volume, menu, sites mentioned — and what's missing.
- **State of play:** where the conversation stands and any commitments made.
- **Open items:** decisions or answers the thread is waiting on.
- **Suggested next step:** one action, usually a scoping question or an advisor hand-off for pricing.
## Rules
- Summarize only what's in the thread; mark inferences as inferences.
- No invented prices, terms, or SLAs (RULE-01/RULE-02).
- Flag anything unclear or unverified with `[REVIEW: ...]`.
- Keep it to the shortest form that lets the reader act.when to use it
