# Slack — Pre-Call Brief
Task: a tight pre-call brief a Meridian rep can read in 30 seconds before a scoping call.
## Format
- **Account / persona:** one line.
- **What we know:** volume, menu, sites — only what's actually given.
- **Goal of the call:** usually to scope the application, not to pitch a product.
- **Three questions to ask:** the discovery questions that unlock the recommendation (`sales/playbook.md`).
- **Watch for:** the most likely objection and the framed response.
## Rules
- Application-first: the call's job is to scope, then recommend (RULE-05).
- No prices/SLAs (RULE-01/RULE-02). Flag unknowns with `[REVIEW: ...]`.
- If critical scope is missing, say what to confirm before the call.when to use it
