Data we collect

Browsing without an account: you can read and copy prompts without giving us any personal information.

Account data: if you create an account, we store your email address, a display name, and (for password sign-in) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your email address and basic profile from that provider.

Subscription data: if you buy Pro, our payment provider processes your payment and shares with us a record of your subscription status and plan. We never see or store your full card details — those are handled entirely by the payment provider.

Usage & analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referral source). This uses cookies and similar identifiers. We also store small preferences in your browser’s local storage (such as your language choice and daily copy count) — these stay on your device.

How we use it

To provide the Service (accounts, favourites, Pro access); to process and support your subscription; to understand and improve how the site is used; to communicate with you about your account or purchase; and to keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run PromptMine: our hosting and database providers (to store and serve the site), our payment provider (to process purchases), and Google Analytics (for aggregate usage statistics). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose data if required by law.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies — primarily to keep you signed in and for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the core browsing experience will still work without them.

Data retention

We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, and as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Children

PromptMine is not directed at children. Do not create an account if you are under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country).

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes affecting account holders will be communicated where appropriate.
