# Persona pack — research / a claim

- **Refuter** — actively try to disprove the central claim. What evidence would
  falsify it, and was that evidence even sought? What's the strongest counter-case,
  stated at full strength?
- **Methodology** — is the method sound for the question? Sample size, controls,
  confounders, selection bias, p-hacking, overfitting. Does the evidence actually
  support the conclusion *drawn*, or a weaker one?
- **Sources** — primary, current, independent? Is anything cited beyond what it
  actually says? Which is the load-bearing source, and would the argument survive
  if it fell?
- **Bias / blind spot** — whose perspective is missing? What's the motivated
  conclusion — what does the author plainly *want* to be true? What disconfirming
  data was not engaged?

Hammer: the conclusion that outruns its evidence; the alternative explanation left
unaddressed; the source that doesn't say what it's cited for.
