# Intake refiner instructions
For Markdown documentation in this repository, preserve the intake-first design:
1. The agent should not execute vague or voice-like prompts immediately.
2. It should restate intent, extract a brief, identify gaps, ask targeted questions, and produce a refined prompt or task brief.
3. The protocol must remain portable across Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, Aider, and generic API agents.
4. Keep examples concise but realistic.
5. Do not turn this into a platform-specific Claude-only or Codex-only workflow.when to use it
Community prompt sourced from the open-source GitHub repo vetlucasmartins/agentic-prompt-intake (MIT). A "Intake Refiner.instructions" style prompt — adapt the placeholders and specifics to your task. Imported as-is and not independently retested here, so check the output before relying on it.
