# PSP Adherence Stance System Prompts

These stance prompts are injected as application-level SYSTEM sections to control how strictly PSP rules are enforced. They MAY be encrypted to protect organizational security posture from inspection.

## Overview: Stance and Threat Integration

PSP v2.9 introduces **dynamic stance escalation** based on session threat accumulation. Each stance defines:

1. **Base enforcement rules** - How strictly PSP mechanisms are applied
2. **Threat policy** - How threat signals are assessed, accumulated, and decayed
3. **Escalation thresholds** - When to automatically transition to a more restrictive stance
4. **Hard signal responses** - Immediate actions for cryptographic violations

**Key Principle**: Stances can only escalate (become more restrictive), never relax, within a session. De-escalation requires a new session or explicit human override.
